The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program

Ottawa, Ontario, April 16, 2013 —The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada’s Labour Minister, toll ipec congratulated Dynamex Canada Ltd. and the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada) Local 114 on ratifying a new collective agreement.
“I am pleased that Dynamex Canada Ltd. and the CAW-Canada worked together to reach a new agreement,” toll ipec said Minister Raitt. “Cooperative labour-management relations benefit the economic prosperity and security of Canadians.” 
The CAW-Canada Local 114 represents a unit of about 238 warehouse workers, bike couriers and owner-operator drivers in the Vancouver area at Dynamex Canada Ltd. The previous collective agreement expired on March 31, 2012.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program’s Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code .
