Ottawa, Ontario, April 16, 2013 —The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada’s Labour Minister, toll ipec congratulated Dynamex Canada Ltd. and the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada) Local 114 on ratifying a new collective agreement.
“I am pleased that Dynamex Canada Ltd. and the CAW-Canada worked together to reach a new agreement,” toll ipec said Minister Raitt. “Cooperative labour-management relations benefit the economic prosperity and security of Canadians.” 
The CAW-Canada Local 114 represents a unit of about 238 warehouse workers, bike couriers and owner-operator drivers in the Vancouver area at Dynamex Canada Ltd. The previous collective agreement expired on March 31, 2012.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program’s Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code .

I have installed LDSD 7.3 and LDMS 9 Console on my test server.

I have installed LDSD 7.3 and LDMS 9 Console on my test server.  There is no FireWall, its been turned off fully.  couriernet I have also installed SQL Server couriernet 2008 for testing database connectivity and query reults.  I have also created a ODBC connection from LDSD server to the DB server.

I would recommend that you open a case with support if you haven't done so already.  There are some patches available for the LDMS side but I am unsure why you are hitting problems with connecting to AD.  There are log files that you can specify the location of once you get into Data Import but at the stage of creating a Data Connection you will need to refer to the windows application event log to see if this provides any additional information.

As evening courier far as I know, this only happens with a few people. I believe that when we last discusssed with LANDesk support they did mention a parameter not passing correctly. We are using the Process evening courier Approver evening courier link. I just don't understand why this continues to occur. I'd also like to know how to fix the problem instead of having to contact support every time. Thanks for any assistance or suggestions you can provide!
Also, if you use the link as an Administrator are you able to get into the ticket or do you get the same message?  It could be that when the user clicks the link the object that's not passing correctly is their information.

We upgraded LDMS to version 9.  We have not yet scheduled our upgrade of ServiceDesk 7.2.5 to the latest version (7.3.X?).  Can 7.2.5 import configuration items from LDMS 9?  If not, what version do we need to upgrade ServiceDesk to?
LDSD 725 only supports LDMS 8.x, so I'd upgrade to LDSD 7.3.2.  Depending on the server that LDSD is installed on, you may need a patch 4684, but whoever does your upgrade should be able to help with that.  In theory with your 725 system you could connect to the LDMS database as a regular generic SQL connection, but you'd have to handle the interpretation of all the tables/views directly.  That might be viable for you, especially if you have done that already.  But if you have connected to the LDMS database in LDSD using the LANDesk connector , then 7.3 is the way I'd suggest you go.
We cek jne are using LDMS 9.0 and Service Desk 7.3.1 and it works.  cek jne The ability to remote control a workstation from within Service Desk is very nice.  It's faster and easier than either the LDMS console or web page.

The purpose of this article is to cover configuring LANDesk® track on courier Service Desk with LDMS (LANDesk Management Suite) integration.  The steps below will allow an analyst to access imported devices from within Service Desk and perform LANDesk Management Suite functions such as remote control, inventory, deploy software etc...
All of the Touchpaper.Framework.Web frameworks will need to have the appropriate patch applied if applicable.  The IIS application pool will need to be setup to allow 32 bit applications if using a version of LDMS earlier than LDMS 9.0 SP2.
  Installing the LDMS Remote Console
The LANDesk Remote console will need to be installed on every analyst machine and on the Service Desk server that has the Data Import service installed (Usually the Application Server). Steps for installing the LANDesk Remote Console:

Note: Before creating the import mapping, attributes for each item added will first need to be created in Service Desk Object Designer. See the section "Creating LANDesk attributes in Service Desk" for creating these attributes.
Its a good idea to create a new Service Desk query to show what devices are going to be imported.  This is also a good troubleshooting test to make sure that you are able to connect to the LDMS database from Service Desk.
Note: Additional step is required for LDSD 7.4 with LDMS 9.0 SP2
9.Leave the other values as default.
Note: Attributes track on courier names may be different; I chose to map Computer.ID to ID in Service Desk to be consistent on the name.  This attribute track on courier will be used when setting up the connection type later in this article.
5.Save Window.
5.For the source select LDMS Connection under the Module and Computers for the Business Object.  (This is the name of the data connection created in the previous steps and the data connection type name)

The LANDesk Desktop Manager track on courier connection is needed to communicate with LDMS.  This is different from creating a connection using Data Connections, which was created to import information from the LDMS data source.  The following steps will walk you through setting up the connection and also defining the default path for the LDMS Console.
For LDSD 7.3.2 and previous versions there is only one installation path.  track on courier Please note that all remote consoles will need to be installed to the same path for LDMS integration to work as you are limited to one installation path.
Management Gateway = Fill this in with the name of the LDMS Gateway if analysts will need to connect to machines outside your network through the gateway.
Before you can use your desktop management functions, you must first set up how Service Desk identifies the specific remote object that you want to manage on the connection that you have set up. You do this by selecting the business object from which you will use Desktop Integration, then specifying the attribute that contains the unique identifier for the remote objects that you want to manage. Service Desk will use this unique identifier to search for a match on your LDMS system. If a match is made, you can then connect to that remote object.

LDMS Console patching for integration hdnl tracking Service Desk and LDMS Integration Compatibility

This patch will need to be installed on any framework that is configured for data import or any framework that the Service Desk console hdnl tracking will connect to that is running Desktop Management for Management Suite.
  The application pool will need to be changed to run in 32 bit mode.  This is located in the advanced properties of the application pool.  Set “Enable 32-Bit Applications” = True. The identity of the application pool will need to be changed to run as NetworkService instead of ApplicationPoolIdentity.  This change is also made in the advanced properties of the application hdnl tracking pool.

having a bit of trouble with this seemingly simple issue...
I have a reminder in a request process that notifies the raise user and a fixed group once the request has been fulfilled.  The Raise User is ALWAYS notified via email without any trouble however the Group has never been notified and the email is not even being generated by the sytem.
I've included a snapshot of the automated reminder below.  The Notify Specified Recipients does not appear to be firing in my opinion which may be as a result of the Is Active not being selected(?), however this seems to be locked so I can't get the check box ticked. masszázsfotel
I would take the user field out to begin with.  The notify originator will do that for you anyway and if you have both group and user specified LDSD will look to only send to the one user. 
Thanks for the response, I should add I'm only a month down the line with LDSD so please excuse the ignorance, the User field will NOT delete no matter what I do every time I save the field re-populates... any hints?

After the Interchange 2011 sessions and our UK LANDesk Days last month, I have put together a set of files which will help you get started worldwide parcel services on the integration between LANDesk products and other tools. This is not designed to be an exhaustive description of how to do this as we have documentation worldwide parcel services that will help you and I strongly advise that you consult that documentation alongside the content here. This is the pdf of the presentation that I used for the Interchange Lab Session in 2011. It contains detailed step by step information worldwide parcel services on how to build an integrated set of processes and some of the techniques that you should use to achieve this. There are references to content from the LDSD Event Manager manual.

This is in contract to the object created for AD group integration which only contains the three required fields.
These files have all been extracted worldwide parcel services from the integrated worldwide parcel services kit I use to demonstrate worldwide parcel services LANDesk tools. There are references to server names etc still floating around in the workflows. Please make sure you use these files in a test environment first before transferring any final design to your live system.

The team from LANDesk may disagree with this (!), but we always recommend not only uninstalling the older version, but also removing the directory and it's contents.  This just ensures you don't have old patch, readme type files lying around.  To uninstall using SCCM, you'd need to ask your own SCCM team on how they do packaging.
As a general thought, in your situation, I'd recommend your client looks at using webdesk waterloo courier .  They can get access to it rapidly, it's almost certainly going to be faster than console and gives them an ability to have a phased deployedent of the new console, rather than a big bang approach.

When Integrating the Landesk Service Desk (LDSD) and Landesk Process Manager or LPM products, there are a number of different settings that need configuration.  Should you find that the integration is not working then this guide should help you to pinpoint which of the steps is not completing and it also aims to give some guidance on how to change your configuration firstflight in order to correct it.
More specifically, the aim of this guide is to help you pinpoint why an integration is not sending information between the two products.  This document firstflight isn't the right one for you if you want some information on how to setup integration between LDSD and LPM for the first time. It also isn't written to help you to change the information being passed between LPSD and LPM (i.e. the mapping of data).  If you would like information on these types of things then you can refer to these places for further guidance:
Please don't let the length of this document this put you off. We have tried to cover every eventuality that could happen, but hopefully as you work through the list of questions you will be able to say pretty quickly "yes that works", and move onto the next step.  firstflight If that's the case then there will be 8 steps that you'll be checking along the way.
This guide assumes that you are familiar with using, and have access firstflight to, the LDSD designers like Process Designer and Object Designer.  It assumes that you are able to login to the LPM console to locate workflows and database listeners.  You will also need to have access to restart windows services on the servers where your Landesk services are running firstflight plus you may also need to edit some files on these servers.  You are likely to also need to run queries against your database.  If you don't personally have the access to be able to perform these actions please involve the people who can.
Introduction Why read this guide? Troubleshooting Diagram 1.  What type of integration? 2. Are there rows being created in the tps_event_queue table? 3.  Switching on the Event Generator behaviour 4.  Are the rows within tps_event_queue being marked as tps_process_status = 1? 5.  Has the database event listener polled recently? 6.  Stop and Start the event listener 7.  Test the ODBC connection 8.Check the SELECT query syntax Next, stop the Landesk Service Management Service.  Then create a new record in LDSD console for the object which is set to have the event generator behaviour (see 3 for more details).  firstflight Next take the where clause out of the SELECT query for the tps_process_status column.  So for example if your SELECT query is showing as : SELECT * FROM tps_event_queue WHERE tps_process_status = 0 AND tps_class_type_guid = '{355cdb8e-d79e-4dec-a8b4-37aaaae3bb48}' and tps_attribute15 = 'new starter'Then you would instead run:SELECT * FROM tps_event_queue firstflight WHERE tps_class_type_guid = '{355cdb8e-d79e-4dec-a8b4-37aaaae3bb48}' and tps_attribute15 = 'new starter'This should return at least one row.  If it doesn't then please ensure that you have checked steps 2 and 3.  Rows should be being returned in step 2 so ensure that the syntax firstflight used in the SELECT query matches the records that are being generated.  For example, check that the value in the tps_class_type_guid for the rows in the tps_event_queue table match the value being specified in your SELECT statement.9.  Has a workflow instance been created for the records that LPM is reading? 10.  Manually firstflight check the LPM workflow 12.  View the workflow instance status 13.  View the workflow instance audit history 14.  Are rows being created in the LDSD ev_event table? 15.  firstflight Check the configuration of the web service event within your workflow 16.  Manually create a PostIntegrationEvent for Event Manager to process 17.  Are the rows being marked as ev_is_processed = 1? 18.  Check that the Touchpaper Integration service is running 19.  Check the Integration Process Source and Enable firstflight Polling for Events 20.  Check the Event Definition is correct for the rows in the ev_event table 21.  Check the status firstflight of your process record Useful Troubleshooting Tools for each application LPM Log files SQL Profiler LDSD / Event Manager Touchpaper Services (TPS) Logging Event Manager Message Logging

Anybody knows where to download the Crystal Reports software for LANDesk Service Desk 7.5 SP1? If not, where can I find it? and what about the licenses? as far as I know it seems LDSD 7.5 have 1 CR server license and 5 CAL licenses for editing and creating reports. Is that correct?
You'd ask your support team or your account manager for the download link I think.  From memory crystal server doesn't have it's own editing features, you use the crystal reports designer to do that (I think the standards for this is1 concurrent editing license).  For Crystal tiny pack Server publishing the reports on the web, the 5 concurrent licenses are for people to be able to logon to the separate web site and access the existing reportspublished to them.
For what you say I assume there is specific a LANDesk Crystal Report Server and designer software, and only this software must be installed in order to be activated with the LANDesk provided licenses included tiny pack in LDSD 7.5 sp1. Am I right?
2. You don't need to install crystal server to run crystal reports from within LANDesk.  LANDesk comes with a runtime library that enables any analyst running tiny pack console to run up some crystal reports that have been produced/configured by the administrator who does pretty much need to use crystal reports.  There is documentation and articles on how to do this.  You only need crystal server if you want to have a separate web site that people can log into outside of LANDesk and see reports.  You may never need to do that.  Some of my clients use crystal server because they have some very hefty reports tiny pack which need a lot of engine power and they don't want to run those from the desktop.  Most reports don't need this power and I think the majority of customers don't need to install crystal server (but it's handy to have).

Remove all Mandatory flags from the form.

We are currently using LANDesk integral express Service Desk ver 7.5 sp1.  We currently have a form with numerous fields in it, the majority of the form has been flagged as mandatory under the Window Designer properties.   What this does is ensure all required fields are filled out prior to saving and/or submitting.  What this causes is headaches for some, due to the fact that they can't fill out half the form and save it, then come back to it later.  integral express Attempting to save will bring up a window indicating that x,y, and z fields have not been filled out and are required prior to saving.  Their current work around is to fill in gibberish in the required fields or select integral express randomly from drop downs.
Remove all Mandatory flags from the form.  Create calculations on a precondition that searches every field for a null value, if a null value exists, the submit action is not available, but the user is able to save. 
 
Rather than precondition you could also route it to a different status point ("Incomplete integral express Incidents").  Then when filled out completely it could proceeded to your standard "In Progress".  With the status point you now have a holding pen for the incomplete incidents and you know exactly why they are there.  You would still need the same calc from the precondition to use as a test to route to "In Progress" or "Incomplete Incidents" so no getting around a calc.  I don't like things sitting at Open so this is the way I would do it.  There is nothing integral express wrong though with a precondition based off a calculation, it's just a style difference.
Sorry about the delay in responding, integral express I was out for two weeks.  The calculation method appears to be the only way.  integral express Carl, thanks for suggesting the move out of Open Status, integral express it is what I am going to use.
I am a big boo novice, so this is the "or" calculation that we came up with.  It needs to check the entries of each attribute on the form that has been deemed "Mandatory", if it is null, then the precondtion remains false and prevents an Action from displaying.  All-in-all, integral express there will be around 20 entries it will check.  I've tested various orders of filling in the attributes or selecting from the drop down, so far it is solid.  Doesn't integral express matter integral express how the form is filled out.  Once again, Boo novice.

I currently chile express have multiple AD Data Connections and Data Imports configured.  While this is great to get the users from AD into LDSD, I seem to be missing a key component.
 
 
It seems to be helping with the Role, but doesn't have a setting for the Group Membership.  I looked into the SP and don't see any option for Group.  Since I can't set Knowledge Domains chile express for Roles, I have to put everyone in a Group too.
I did find this - http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-7019 , but it is old and appears to require that I put my users into a AD group to map to a LDSD group.  I'm not opposed to this, but it is not ideal.  If it still works in 7.6.1?
So I would much, much rather the application could handle this since it seems to be necessary for core functionality, but I resorted chile express to SQL.

Here are my prompted criterias when the query is selected:
As couier mail you can see, the Description does not transfer to the Criteria couier mail Selectors when the query is ran.  Is there something I am missing somewhere?  couier mail I would really like to be able to change the wording displayed to analysts when they select the query.  Using Attributes confuses them.
I think that option only makes a difference when you have the query prompts showing in Grid mode rather than Simple mode.  That is a setting couier mail you can change in the query design on the General page.
Greatly appreciate the assistance!  Changing Grid, instead of Simple for the Prompt!  For the life of me, I never realized that and we have had the attributes displaying since go live.  Just one of those clean up items.

Hello, I would like to hear regarding working at FedEx as a courier because I'm working in a food sector as a worker and the job is not as cute as the long hours (10 hours per day) and find but a bit boring (tire work your opinion , stacking bins) and the time will not go over so a job as a courier really appeals to me, but the question is, is this job better than a worker doing tire work? what about the stress and penalties related not to deliver the packages on time Also, sometimes cpost you get a fixed route that you should do? because I know the only good because of my town, this is a problem if your knowledge etc because no good? it would be in the East Flanders cpost region (the Fedex company located in East Flanders) but I'm not sure to which the region could go so it's not crowded cities like Brussels or Antwerp, for example, all information is welcome Thanks!
I can not tell you much about it, but what I know is that GNE Station East, West Flanders and Hainaut doing. "The cpost FedEx company located in East Flanders" -> watch for your interview. FedEx national headquarters is in Brussels city, then they have a logistics facility at BRUCARGO and in addition they have several stations GNE (Saint-Denis-Westrem) ENT (Machelen) and in Wilrijk, cpost Herstal, Nivelles and Tongeren too but I know that codes is not. If FedEx come here (but that's ENT drive for us) then it is very often the same courier who comes, friendly guy anyway. cpost He does not live around here so it will be perfectly aware of the road everywhere.
