The term icon is very commonplace, but American singer Cyndi Lauper, 57, is, yes, a great pop icon of the 80s albums like She's So Unusual (1983) and True Colors (1986) sold millions of copies worldwide and the whole new wave of burlesque and coloridíssima artist image marked a whole generation.
Cyndi Lauper was so successful that in time came to be regarded as rival Madonna in contention for the throne parce of pop music. Afterwards, irregular Cyndi recorded albums and has not kept the times of successful singles like killers Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Time After Time.

In his 11th studio album, Memphis Blues (Lab 344), Cyndi Lauper and convinces shines parce with feeling when interpreting the old genre giants like BB King, Allen Toussaint and Charlie Musselwhite. All, moreover, special guests singer in his first work blues.
I hear the blues since he was a child. They were very good and kind to me, all of them. At first I felt a bit like that character from Kung Fu Panda, like "I do not deserve" parce and would have to leave the studio because I was so excited that it all led me to tears. But I loved every second of every session. This recording was a dream for me.
When I recorded parce I Do not Want to Cry in Memphis, I left space in the range for shares blast. I had this idea that I should do something special for my fans in Brazil, where I could work on a song with a great Brazilian artist, and I was delighted to have the contribution of the great Leo Gandelman.
I wanted parce the tour had the most recordings of Memphis Blues. In the last ten years on the road, I was pretty much just making repertoires of major hits and only put a few songs on the CD that was working. So this time, it is really a show of Memphis Blues. The musicians that I have on the road are some of the best bluesmen of all time and we also will have new arrangements for some of my successes because I know the people parce who come to the shows you want to hear the hits too.
Not really. Madonna parce is a great artist and anything that has been said about having some quarrel is meaningless. I think she makes great music, has a great picture and is probably one of the smartest business women that exist.
You attended the inauguration ceremony of President Barack Obama in 2009 A year later, do you think he is getting to do a good government? Or problems encountered after the disastrous George W. Bush era are still too big?
I think he is doing a great job and accomplished a lot this year and a half he is the president. But some people expected more for some reason. President Obama has a lot of garbage to clean up after eight years in office Bush / Cheney. He inherited the mess, not created. We have to give the guy a chance. Still have a lot to be done? Of course, a ton of things. But I believe him and I think he will still do a lot in the years to follow.
I love Brazil. Everything from the people, the energy, parce the love, the food and the great weather. You are indeed one of the most beautiful species parce of humans. All are simply marvelous. And the food and the music ... It is impossible not to love. I can not wait to return.
